Aaron Franks (of Epstein Cole LLP) has been awarded this year’s annual Mary Lou Benotto Award for Excellence in Family Law.
The award was presented on March 25, 2026, at the Law Society of Ontario’s 20th Family Law Summit.
The award was established by the Chief Justice of Ontario, Michael Tulloch, to recognize the legacy and extraordinary contributions of the Honourable Mary Lou Benotto, a pillar of family law in this province.
As the Honourable Jim Williams (Nova Scotia) said in nominating him for the award, Aaron “always has an eye on ethics, civility and perhaps most importantly a curiosity about how ‘we can do better’”. It is hard to imagine a more deserving recipient.
