New Trial Scheduling Endorsement Form for Family Law Cases

The Superior Court of Justice has updated the family law Trial Scheduling Endorsement Form (TSEF) in order to support focused and proportionate family law trials. After October 5, 2025, the outdated TSEF form will no longer be accepted for filing by court staff.
Significant updates include:
- TSEF must be provided in an editable Word format
- New part 3 – Office of the Children’s Lawyer (OCL) information
- New part 4 – Joint or Court-Appointed Experts; OCL Reports
- Sections 1–5 to be completed jointly by parties; Section 6 by the judge
- Click to add columns for additional parties, witnesses and other information
- Improved guidance to help parties prepare for trial, and estimate trial timing
- Reference to the Mini Guide to Family Law Trials at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on the court’s website
- Removal of party signatures at the bottom as the endorsed form becomes a court order
