Who We Are
The Ontario Superior Court of Justice is the largest superior trial court in Canada.
The Superior Court serves Ontarians in eight administrative regions of the province: Central East, Central South, Central West, East, Northeast, Northwest, Southwest, and Toronto.
The Court is comprised of judges who are federally appointed, associate judges who are provincially appointed and lawyers appointed provincially as deputy judges of the Small Claims Court.
As society continues to grow and change, the Superior Court of Justice remains steadfastly committed to serving the people of Ontario and to upholding the bedrock principles of our justice system: the rule of law, access to justice, fairness, equality, and openness. This commitment will continue to inform the Court’s modernization and its goal to continuously improve the Court’s administration of justice and service to the people of Ontario.
