This list contains certain cases that are frequently relied on and which are supplied to judges hearing civil cases in the Superior Court of Justice, as directed by the provisions in the Consolidated Provincial Practice Direction that address often-cited cases in civil proceedings.

The cases in question appear on this list under various headings or topics which are not in any way intended to provide legal advice.

Parties in civil proceedings in the Superior Court of Justice no longer need to include authorities on this list in any book of authorities relied on. However, extracts from those authorities which counsel intend to refer to the court shall be included in the factum or book of authorities.
