Changes introduced on June 1, 2020
Section 10 (Media) – This section has been updated to refer to the revised OCJ Notice Regarding Media and Public Access to OCJ Proceedings during the Pandemic, revised May 15, 2020.

Changes and Updates introduced on May 22, 2020

The following revisions / updates were made to the Notice on May 22, 2020:

Introduction – The date of the state of emergency has been changed to June 2 reflecting the provincial government’s extension of the sate of emergency.

Section 4.3(a) – The automatic adjournment of criminal court appearances for out-of-custody accused has been extended to July 3, 2020. Additional information about how counsel and/or accused persons can move their criminal case forward in the absence of a court appearance is provided.

The List of Criminal Case Adjournment Dates – Out-of-Custody Accused has also been updated to reflect this extension.

Sections 4.3(b) and 7.1 – Stream A impaired driving cases have been removed as an example of an urgent plea, because Ontario Regulation O. Reg. 46/20: Temporary Rules Governing Conduct Review Programs, made May 14, 2020, has temporarily extended the deadline for pleas to be entered to be eligible for the Stream A and Stream D ignition interlock programs.
